Friendship Baptist Church extends membership by way of Baptism, Christian Experience, Letter and Watchcare.
BECOMING A MEMBER AT FBC
To become a member, the process begins with attending our New Members class. In the New Members class, you will learn more about Friendship, meet some of our ministerial staff, and have the opportunity to connect with various activities around the church. After attending the class, you will have the opportunity to meet with one of our staff members for a membership conversation, where you can learn more about membership.
Upon completion of the New Members class, you will receive the “Right Hand of Fellowship” from the leaders of your Friendship Family! This is a Christian tradition dating back to the first century church, whereby a new member was welcomed into the fellowship. It is based on Paul’s letter to the Galatians, chapter 2, verse 9, where Paul says that three disciples of Jesus “gave me and Barnabas their right hands of fellowship”, bonding them together as members of the new Christian church. The rights and privileges of church membership shall be extended to you.
There are 4 classes that meet every Sunday morning at 8:30 AM. Anyone who is new to FBC or is considering joining the church is invited to attend to learn more about Friendship Baptist Church and the many opportunities for you to get involved with our various ministries.
