If you are interested in becoming a member of Friendship Baptist Church to worship and serve along with us, we offer the opportunity to join our church in the Membership Class.
There are 4 classes that meet every Sunday morning at 8:30 AM. Anyone who is new to FBC or is considering joining the church is invited to attend to learn more about Friendship Baptist Church and the many opportunities for you to get involved with our various ministries.
The purpose of the New Member Orientation is three fold.
(1) It gives the new member a clear understanding of the significance of the new life in Christ. (2) It explains the responsibilities inherited because of the Christian experience.
(3) It defines what it means to become a member of God’s Church.
By using God’s Word as the final authority, New Member Orientation also seeks to emphasize the distinction between a true conversion and church membership.

Upon completion of New Members class, you will receive the “Right Hand of Fellowship” from the leaders of your Friendship Family! This is a Christian tradition dating back to the first century church, whereby a new member was welcomed into the fellowship. It is based on Paul's letter to the Galatians, chapter 2 verse 9, where Paul says that three disciples of Jesus "gave me and Barnabas their right hands of fellowship", bonding them together as members of the new Christian church. The rights and privileges of church membership shall be extended to you.
